Obesity in the Black community has been a growing concern in recent decades and can be attributed to a multitude of societal elements. Among adults, nearly 48 percent are clinically obese (including 37.1 percent of men and 56.6 percent of women).
However, the focus is BLACK MEN specifically black men who are traveling overseas with health issues!
Over the past 7 years, I have personally known black men who have passed due to health complications while overseas in Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Colombia. A lot of these deaths could have been avoided if proactive and preventative steps were taken. Too many black men are traveling overseas with pre-existing health complications and simply ignoring the signs just to have a good time. Here are the current leading Causes of Death in Black Men who are obese:
Heart Disease 30%
Cancer 20%
Diabetes 4.5%
Respiratory Disease 3.5%
Kidney 2.7%
In order to deal with this issue, we have to uncover the 5 root causes of obesity in Black Men:
Poor Diet
Lack of Exercise

5 Tips for Becoming the Best Version of Yourself
Make sure to see your doctor on a regular basis. If something feels off, go see the doctor immediately.
Schedule to work out 4 to 6 times a day. A simple long walk and being active can do wonders. Try to average 10K steps a day.
Change your diet with a focus on Macros (Protein, Carbs, and Fats). Stay away from packaged and processed foods.
Seek therapy and let go of all of your setbacks. Deal with it and MOVE ON!
